Description
Delphin Stinx GRUB Shrimp 4cm ORANGE
The Delphin Stinx GRUB Shrimp 4cm ORANGE is a soft bait that imitates worms or water invertebrates and it’s suitable for ultra light spin fishing. The versatile form can be used in many ways and target various types of fish. You can use it to fish for trout or perch, but it’s also good for bigger predators or carps. The slim cylindrical form and striking notches along the body create a specific movement in water and irresistible vibrations. The material floats and ensures a more realistic presentation of the lure.
The lures is available in various colour combinations that will catch the attention of the predators. Plus, these colours are now UV active to reflect more sunlight underwater and to be more noticeable in deep waters or when it gets darker. To increase the chances of attraction, the lures are stores in a container with a liquid attractor. You can place the lure you’re using inside the container for improved luring properties. Various flavours allow you to select the right one to appeal to a specific fish.
Lure weight: 0,85g
A 4cm grub shrimp is a highly effective finesse bait for bass fishing, particularly in clear or pressured waters, around cover, and in cooler conditions. Its small size mimics natural prey like small crustaceans and baitfish, making it irresistible to both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
Rigging and Techniques
The 4cm grub shrimp is versatile and can be fished using several methods:
- Jig Head Rigging (Most Common):This is the standard method.
- Use a light ball-head jig, typically 1/16-ounce or 1/8-ounce, to allow for a slow, natural fall. The lighter weight keeps the bait in the fish’s strike zone longer.
- Rig the grub so the tail’s curl faces the opposite direction of the hook bend for optimal action.
- Techniques include:
- Slow, Steady Retrieve (Swimming):Cast it out, let it sink to the bottom, and reel it back slowly. This works well for suspended fish or in clear water streams.
- Bottom-Hopping/Stroking: Let the lure sink to the bottom, then use sharp, upward snaps of the rod tip to make it dart up, followed by a slack-line fall back to the bottom.
- Dragging: Slowly drag the grub along the bottom, which is effective in deeper water or winter conditions when bass are lethargic.
- Weedless Rigging (Texas Rig):For fishing in heavy cover, such as grass beds, docks, or laydowns.
- Rig the grub weedless on an offset hook with a small bullet sinker (e.g., 1/8 to 3/16 ounce) to prevent snagging.
- This setup allows you to target bass holding tight to structure.
- Drop Shot Rigging: In ultra-finesse scenarios, the grub can be nose-hooked on a drop shot rig. The small, active tail provides subtle action with minimal rod movement, which is effective for pressured fish or those seen on live sonar.
Key Considerations
- Water Clarity: Grubs are highly effective in clear water where bass rely on sight to feed.
- Conditions: They are particularly useful in cold water or when fish are finicky, as their subtle presentation triggers bites when larger, more aggressive lures are ignored.
- Scent: The natural scent and profile of a shrimp imitation can be a strong attractant, especially if using a scented soft plastic or tipping a jig with a small piece of real shrimp.
- Equipment: Light to medium-light spinning gear with 6 to 10 lb test line is generally ideal for maximizing the bait’s action and detecting light bites
