It’s a special type of sinker used with soft artificial lures. In comparison with a classic Delphin Standup cheburashka 7g, the standup version has a flat bottom surface to create more resistance underwater and slower sinking. This creates more time for a lethargic fish to strike your lure.

Because of its special shape, the chebursahka falls to the bottom with a flat surface where it stays and keeps the hook in a vertical position. This effect can be enhanced by using floating lures. Such setup of the lure reduces the possibility of getting it tangled in underwater obstacles and allows the predator to take it directly from the bottom.

Just like a classic cheburashka, the standup version offers several advantages when compared to a classic jig. One of them is a simple weight exchange without removing the lure from the hook. Another advantage is a more natural movement of the lure, since there’s a give between the eye of the hook and the cheburashka’s wire. The bigger eye makes it easier to tie the cheburshka to the line or attach it to the snap.
